County transfer tax
Yolo County's base countywide Documentary Transfer Tax is $0.55 per $500 (0.11%), the state-uniform rate already in data/transfer/california.json. All four incorporated cities in Yolo County (Davis, West Sacramento, Winters, Woodland) are General Law cities that have each adopted their own $0.55-per-$500 city transfer tax under Rev. & Tax. Code Sec. 11911(b), but because a General Law city's tax gives the county a dollar-for-dollar credit under Sec. 11911(c), the COMBINED total a buyer pays stays at $1.10 per $1,000 ($0.55 per $500), the same as the base countywide rate, just split between city and county coffers rather than being an additional charge on top. Source: California City Finance, 'California City Documentary and Property Transfer Tax Rates' table (fetched directly), which lists Davis/West Sacramento/Winters/Woodland each at City $0.55 + County $0.55 = Total $1.10 per $1,000, matching the county-only total. Unlike charter cities (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose), none of Yolo County's cities levies an additional, non-credited rate. California transfer tax →
